Lavender (Devotion)

Here's another card that I watercolored using the Herb Expressions set.  I love using the top lid of the ink pad and the Aqua Painter when I only have one or two colors.  I go for the watercolor crayons if I am creating a card with a lot of different colors.

Nature Silhouettes

I needed a masculine card and this set really lends itself to a manly man's card.
The sky was brayered using a technique that Mo and I learned from Michelle Zindorf's class in Savannah last October.  It was such an awesome class, that if she ever does another class in this part of the southern US, I recommend you sign up for it as soon as possible.  They fill up really fast.

Supplies:  Stamp set 111542.  Paper:  Cajun Craze 119684, Very Vanilla 101650, Early Expresso 119686, Well Worn DSP 122359.  Inks: Cajun Craze 119671, Early Expresso 119670, Dafodil Delight 119667, More Mustard 103162, Soft Suede 115657.  Embelishments:  Vintage Trinkets 118764, Hemp Twine 100982, Stampin' Dimensionals 104430, Stampin' Sponges 101610.

Clean and Simple (CAS)

I heard from one of my customers that she loves the cards I design except she is more interested in CAS cards that she can put together easily.  I want to make sure that I reach those readers that also like the CAS cards so I will be posting as many as I can for your perusal.

Supplies:  Stamp Sets:  Perfect Words 122472, Forever Young 122572.  Paper:  River Rock 108640, Very Vanilla 101650, Naturals Ivory 101849, Basic Black 121045, Timeless Portrait 122352.  Inks:  Basic Black 101179.   Embellishments:  Big Shot 113439, 3" Circle Original Dies 122125, 21/2" Circle Punch 120906, Glimmer Brads Basics 121003, Glue Dots 103683, Stampin' Dimensionals 104430.

Herb Expressions

I remember when this set came out, I just had to have it.  Well, believe it or not, this is the first time I used it.  It has been sitting on the shelf.  I felt like watercoloring so I looked for sets that were lined images and grabbed this one.  Not a whole lot to color but basil (blessings) is my favorite herb.  I love the sentiments that go with this set.  The inside of the card says "Thanks for blessing my life with you".

Supplies:  Stamp set: Herb Expressions 113224.  Paper: Wild Wasabi 108641, Whisper White 100730, Naturals White 102316, Designer Series Subtles DSP 117152.  Inks:  Wild Wasabi 109014, Black Stazon 101406, Wild Wasabi Marker 120975 (for Faux Stitching).  Embellishments:  Big Shot 113439, Framelits Labels Collection 125598, Stampin' Dimensionals 104430, Aqua Painters 103954.

WHO KNEW.......

Did you ever notice on our Stampin' Write Markers the two lines located on each end just before the cap?  Well, something I only found out at a recent Regional I attended in Charlotte. The WIDE line indicates the end for the brush tip and the THIN line indicates the end for the fine line point.  DUH!
I know, you would think that I, being a demo for almost 10 years would have been able to figure that out, right?   However, it did my heart good to discover that many at the Regional that weekend were also not aware of this.....so needless to say, I am curious to find out just how many of my customers and readers were aware of this.  Please take a moment to reply in the comment section if you knew.  Hugs and have a great weekend!

Live in the Sunshine

I designed this card using the Side Notes on page 24 of the mini catalog.  They are so pretty and not just for scrap booking.  Of course, as you can tell by the supplies, I glued everything but the kitchen sink on this card. LOL.... Love it!

Supplies:  Stamp Sets:  Pursuit of Happiness 121970, Rue Des Fleurs 125487.  Paper:  Soft Suede 115318, Calypso Coral 122924, Attic Boutique DSP 125407;  Inks:  Soft Suede 115657, Calypso Coral 122939;  Embellishments:  Attic Boutique Side Notes 125413, Stampin' Dimensionals 104430, Antique Brads 117273, Fleurettes (dyed with soft Suede ink Refill 115663, Victoria Trim 118481, Itty Bitty Punches 118309, Basic Rhinestones 119246 Colored with Sharpie), Paper Piercing Tool 116631, Mat Pack 105826, Sponges 101610, Glue Dots 103683.

See page 9 of the SAB catalog

This is what I mean when I tell my customers "You do not have to  be an Artist or creative, you just need to copy."  If you look at the card in the catalog, you will see that I copied the sample right out of the book, with the exceptions of a few colors.  A good deal of what is on this card came out of the SAB catalog as items that you can get FREE.
In addition to all of the projects I post daily, all of our catalogs have hundreds of samples for you to pick from.   Easy Peasy!

Supplies:  Stamp Set: Party This Way 127727; Paper: Lucky Limeade 122935, Daffodil Delight 119667, Whisper White 101730, Tempting Turquoise 102067, Designer Series Brights Patterned DSP 117155;  Inks:  Black Stazon 101406, Tempting Turquoise 100814.  Embellishments:  Brights Designer Buttons 127714, Lucky Limeade Bakers Twine 125572, Scallop Edge Border Punch 119882.

SAB Kindness Matters

It's hard to tell by the picture but I used our new Dazzling Details on the middle butterfly to match the glimmer brads.  This set is one of our regular catalog items that you can get free during our Sale-A-Bration.

SAB Simply Sent

Clean and Simple is Everyday Elegance, a Simply Sent package on page 12 of the SAB catalog.  Another item you can select for FREE with a $50 order.  This is a no-brainer as far as handmade cards go.  The designs and colors are already selected for you.  You just add the sentiment and any embellishments.  However, both of these cards really do not even need any thing other than what is in the kit.  That's what makes it TOTALLY CAS.

Supplies:  Everyday Elegance Simply Sent Kit;  Stamp sets:  For the blue card, Outlined Occasions 126016 SAB, for the red card, Bring on the Cake 121958;  Paper:  (Red Card Blossom) Blossom Punch 125603, Pink Pirourette 100459, White Embossing Powder 109132, White Craft Ink 101731, Black Stazon for the Greeting on both cards.  Blue Card sentiment colored with Baja Breeze marker 120965.

Packed for Baby

I designed this card along the same lines as the Packed for Mom and Dad cards previously posted.  I used this year's new in-colors.  Hope you like it.

2012 Leadership Swap

This is not the actual card that I swapped at Leadership because I never kept a copy of the card.  So I tried to re-create it here, except that the colors are way different.  The card base for Leadership was Pear Pizzazz and the background was Pink Pirourette DSP.   In addition, the images were painted with lighter colors.  When I went to recreate the card I realized that I was out of the DSP so I changed the colors to what you see below.

Sweet Shop #3 CAS

Talk about a 'clean and Simple' project, just look at the list of supplies for this card.  I love the colors in this paper and I used the Designer stickers to compliment the paper.  Another reason why Stampin'Up! products are so awesome.  They are all color coordinated with tons of embellishments, inks and paper to make your whole project jump off the page.  It's kinda of hard to tell from the photo but I used the glossy white card stock because I wanted a very bright white to go with this DSP paper. If you need a mini let me know.
I would love it if you liked this card and shared it with your FB or twitter friends....or better yet how about Pinterest?

Supplies: Stamp Set: Happiest Birthday Wishes Hostess set;  Paper: Wisteria Wonder 122922, Glossy White card stock 102599, Sweet Shop DSP 125408;  Inks: Black Stazon 101406;  Embellishments:  Sweet Shop Designer Stickers 125584.

Paper Tole Technique

I learned this technique from a video by Sophia on Paper Crafters' Library.  It requires adding layers on layers to your project.  This was done with watercolor paper and I think it was a little too heavy for the paper tole technique so I will try it the next time with our Whisper White Card Stock as it is not as thick as  our 140# water color paper.  Anyway here is my attempt at Paper Tole.

Dare to Dream

I haven't used my watercolor pencils in a long time.  In fact, I thought they had been retired and was surprised that we still carry them.  Then I tried to think of how to use them on some of our current stamp sets and the 'Black Magic' technique came to mind.  Hope you like it.  If you want to case this card, the supplies are included for your convenience below.  Click on the following link and go to Shop now.

FREE 30 DAY TRIAL TO MY DIGITAL STUDIO!

Click here to go to mydigitalstudio.net and read the exicting details on how you can try out MDS Express for 30 days, totally free, no strings attached! This offer is only good during February, so go check it out right away! Your 30 days begins when you download the trial.
Here's a few quick FAQ's for you--
Q: Is the trial version of the software different from the paid version of My Digital Studio Express?
A: No. When you order the My Digital Studio Express Trial, you will receive the full version of My Digital Studio Express. The software will function exactly the same as if you had purchased the software--you can design, purchase downloads, and print. The only difference is that you can only use the trial version for 30 days.

Q: Can I place a print order with the trial version?
A: Yes. You have full access to everything you can do in My Digital Studio for a full 30 days. This includes full designing functionality, printing, and the ability to purchase downloads.

Q: Do my 30 days start as soon as I download My Digital Studio?
A: Your 30 day trial period starts as soon as you launch the program. It does not matter when you download the program, your 30 days will start as soon as you actually launch (open) the program.

Q: Will the trial still last 30 days even if I order it in the middle or end of the month?
A: You can order the My Digital Studio Trial at any time. The trial period is not tied to the calendar. The trial period will begin as soon as you launch the program, and you will be able to use it for the next 30 days.

Q: What happens after the 30 day trial period is over?
A: When you launch the software after the 30 day trial period is over, you will be prompted to enter a product key. You will not be able to use the software again until you have entered a product key. You can get a product key by purchasing My Digital Studio or My Digital Studio Express.

Q: How do I purchase My Digital Studio after the trial period is over?
A: Simply add My Digital Studio (item 118108) or My Digital Studio Express (item 124483) to your next order. If you order My Digital Studio Express, you will not need to reinstall the software. A product key will be e-mailed to you; after you complete your purchase, just enter that product key when the program prompts you to. If you purchase the disc version of My Digital Studio, you will need to use the installation discs in order to access the included digital content. The installation wizard will walk you through the process, including entering the product key (which you’ll receive with your shipped discs). You will not lose any downloads or projects from your 30-day trial period.

Q: What happens to digital downloads I purchase during the 30 day trial period?
A: You will have continued access to any downloads you purchase during the trial period. If you choose to purchase the software, you will simply need to enter a product key, and you will be able to use all your downloads like normal. If you do not purchase the software, you will still have access to your downloads through your download manager, and you will be able to load them to the digital design software of your choice.

Q: Can I use My Digital Studio digital downloads in other design programs?
A: Yes. The My Digital Studio digital downloads will work with any digital design program.

Q: Will my saved projects be lost when the free trial ends?
A: You will not be able to edit any of your projects through My Digital Studio after the trial period has ended unless you purchase the software. If you do chose to purchase the software, you will be able to access all your projects. If you don’t choose to purchase the software, we recommend you save your projects as jpg files. You will then be able to use them like you use any of your jpg (picture) files.

Q: Can I have two free trials?
A: No. The My Digital Studio Express Trial will only work once. After your 30 days are over, you need to purchase the software to continue using the program.

Q: What if I don’t want to purchase the software at the end of the trial period?
A: You can uninstall the software at any time.

Q: How do I use My Digital Studio?
A: We have several videos and resources available for you on the training section of MyDigitalStudio.net that will help you learn how to use the program.
